ONCE YOU HAVE PURCHASED AN ONLINE CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSE, REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN WITHIN FIVE (5) CALENDAR DAYS OF PURCHASE. OTHERWISE, THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES.

You can take this course from any computer, anywhere as long as you always log in with the same email address you provided at the time of course registration. Under no circumstances should you share an email address with another online student.

Instructor-Led & Online Products Are Not Interchangeable

It is very important to note that time spent in online and instructor-led courses (where available) are not interchangeable; should a student elect to switch from one product to another, time spent is not cumulative between courses and a course must be started again in its’ entirety.

Students enrolled in the online Florida Salesperson or Florida Broker courses will not be able to receive New York State continuing education credit upon course completion. Only the instructor-led versions of these courses can be used to fulfill NYS CE requirements.

Online Course Completion Requirements

The online course is available for one year from date of purchase. The course and final exam exam must be completed within this time frame. No extensions can be granted. Only one registered student may take this course; you will be asked to sign an affirming affidavit at time of completion that you, exclusively, participated in this qualifying program.

You must complete each and every unit of the course. All quizzes, and any end of unit evaluations and required seat time must be satisfactorily completed or you will not be eligible to take the final course exam.

In order to be licensed, you must complete the online final exam examination for the course. If you achieve a passing grade, confirmation of your successful course completion will automatically be sent to the Cusack Center. A Confirmation of Completion for your Florida licensing course of the Florida Salesperson Course will be issued by the Cusack Center via USPS.

Once you begin your final exam, you will not be able to access the course content until you submit your final exam for grading.

Online Course Examination Kick-Out Mitigation

If you get kicked out of the online final exam exam s as a result of losing your internet connection, inadvertently closing your web browser, or your session expired expires due to inactivity; you will have a limited, 10 minute window of opportunity to resume your final exam exam where you left off by clicking "Resume Test."

If you have not resumed your exam by the end of the 10 minute window, the exam will be suspended. You may only resume the course two times. If you are kicked out of your exam a third time, you will need to call Dearborn tech support or your school to have your final exam exam re-enabled.

The exam can only be submitted for grading one time. After the course exam is completed or submitted for grading, you cannot resume that exam. If you do not achieve a passing grade, there is a 30 day waiting period before you can enroll into a stand-alone makeup exam. You will have a total of two opportunities to take the exam, but if unsuccessful after two tries, you will be required to retake the course. After the exam has been completed, the course content will again be available for you to review, provided the course term has not expired.

State Licensing Exam Information

Once you have satisfied all online course requirements, including the online course exam, you must apply to The Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) to be eligible to sit for the licensing examination for the state of Florida. If your application is approved, you will receive a letter from the FREC indicating that you are cleared to sit for the state licensing exam. You cannot schedule a time for your exam until your application has been approved by the FREC. Once you are cleared, please contact Pearson VUE in at 1-888-204-6289 or online at www.pearsonvue.com in order to schedule an appointment.

Upon arrival at a Pearson VUE test site, you must provide the following documentation:

  • Two (2) forms of signature identification, one of which must contain a photo
  • The Confirmation of Completion mailed to you from the Cusack Center

The FREC also requires that you are electronically fingerprinted before the start of the exam. This will be performed at the Pearson VUE site. Examination and fingerprinting fees may apply.

Your Online Course

At the course start-up page, please take time to orient yourself so you understand how the course navigates and clocks time. After 20 minutes of inactivity, your online course will time out, so try to time your breaks at the end of a unit to prevent losing your work. We recommend that you routinely check your progress as you proceed through the course. Online courses are self-contained and do not require any additional materials. If you opt to purchase a companion textbook, you can do so at the online bookstore but it is not required to complete this course.
