Implementing Change
|
OVERVIEW: This program component is a direct extension and implementation phase of the Goal and Action Planning component. At the conclusion of this program component, participants will experience the implementation of solutions determined to be desirable or necessary in the previous component. With an understanding of the principles and dynamics of change they will observe and assess progress, orders of change and dissonance resulting from change. Disruptions and disagreements resulting from change will be described, discussed and addressed. Modifications may be made to the process. Participants will learn to systematically support change using all available resources as a dynamic ongoing process along established or modified timelines.
DURATION: Half-day, full day or extended multiple-day workshops
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Understand the overall change process.
- Learn the sequence of the change process.
- Apply the change process at the individual level.
- Apply the change process at the group level.
- Monitor and reevaluate both positive and negative byproducts of the change process.
- Deal effectively with dissonance and disruptions to the change process.
- Make appropriate adjustments to method and timelines in the change process.
FORMAT: This workshop is designed to be highly participatory and interactive. Certain key concepts, which will be used through the workshop experience, will be presented and discussed initially. Using a "practice and feedback" loop approach, participants will gain an understanding of the processes of effective communication, and how these components can be modified for maximum results.
